Bubble Elimination and Opportunity Creation

Recently China has implemented credit tightening by increase the reserve ratio of bank.

It limits the bank on lending and immediately reduce the liquidity in the market.

The result of this policy has made a huge wave to the stock market. Global stock market has been sliding continuously for couples of days and i expect it will go down further.

I see the above situation is a positive move of china government. It consolidates china growth position in the coming years as to reduce the bubble creation.

Those speculators will be suffer on sudden tumble. But i believe the real investors who have holding power will be a winner at the end of the game.

For side liners, let's stand aside and see the show. When dust settles, it will be the best buying opportunity.

Remember that what's right isn't always popular and what's popular isn't always right.

Chinese Community Subscription Quota Of AS1M Unit Trust Scheme Touches 80 Per Cent


AS of to-date, the response of AS1M is still relatively slow. as highlight in the link above, the total subscription is only 2.8 billion unit out of 10 billion which below 30% of te total fund.

Even the unit of sold unit for malay quota is not mentioned, it can be easily calculated.

50% allocation for Malay = Unknown
30% allocation for Chinese = 80% of 30% allocation = 2.4 Billion
15% allocation for India = 20% of 15% allocation = 0.3 billion
5% allocation for others ethnic groups = unknown.

from the above, we can estimate the maximum cap of the sold unit for malay quota is below 0.1 billion, which translate into less than 2% of malay quotation allocation.

Questions arising here,

1. Due to low subscription of Bumi allocation, will it affect the dividend payout? ( politic and economy are always mix together)

2. How PNB play the game by allocating attractive dvidend payout next year to attract more investor? (but Chinese ethnic will be most beneficial party, if more dividend is paid out)

3. If dividend payout is not good in next year, AS1M most likely will be "permanently" stagnant at current level. How PNB move?

4. Accordingly to various Amanah Saham fund, a lot of funds are set up solely for BUMI and its dividend payout is relatively attractive. If government wan to encourage for 1 Malaysia, shall it open for all races?

5. Consider to merge most of Amanah Saham Fund under 1 Malaysia fund and open equally for all races will be the best way to promote unity. how PNB think?

The impact of the influx of US dollar in the market is starting to be felt. Depreciation of dollar in value. so FUEL price hikes is unavoidable. China is taking the right move to divest into commodity and nature resource as to replace further buying into US treasury bond.

Next thing to take note is the export in CHINA will be gradually affected.. US dollar depreciates will boost its export and increase the cost of import product. It will encourage a "silent" encouragement of BUY National Product, cause PRICE will tell you to make a right choice when you shop for grocery.

From the above statement, i doubt about the fund performance. Indirectly, it tells me that your purchase unit is already diluted right before you subscribe.

Another ridiculous joke - contribution from Malayan Banking Bhd, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank and POS Malaysia. Where is this money comes from? eventually it is from the pocket of stakeholder. How management prepare to answer for this contribution? I believe in return there might be a portion of the AS1M fund will be installed into companies.

Right Pocket to Left Pocket.. What we want to see is a real boosting in Economy. Not to lure retailer or household saving money and indirect convert it into equity.

Then why don't i go direct to equity market instead of buying AS1M??

China Government has started to tighten the credit growth. What is the impact? Think, think and think...

Since last year, China government had encouraged banks to lend money until the extent that banker was knocking door by door to lend money.

Now it is the time to slow down or halt this credit growth process and to monitor the impact of the influx of 'fast' credit in market since last couples of month.

The money is skeptical that being used in stock market as speculation tools. It is dangerous when there is not fundamental or solid base to chase up the stock price.

It is definitely not the intention of government on boost this baseless growth model. I foresee that China Stock will be very volatile in the coming week.

Let see how fast china government can react on the market. Its policy move the market..

Rate adjustment is a typical montary policy instrument.

If Rate Cut, normally, it is to encourage spending or investment in other aspect, such as equity or bond or etc. After rate is cut, the saving interest rate will be closer to ZERO, as common response to investor, they will seek for alternative investment or saving which offer higher return. e.g. Amanah Saham or Sukuk Fund, etc. which offer higher return compare to Fixed Deposit. It is matching with the Direction of current government policy to encourage spending and investment in market.

If Rate Up, normally, it is to cure the inflation. There may be too much liquidity in the market as the effect of stimulus pump priming from government and bring up the high inflation. when interest rate is up, it is to minimise the hot money in market and encourage saving and less spending to cool down the market. This impact will be a property sector or automotive industry, whereby there is mid to long term commitment as the buyer will think twice before commit on the purchase.

It depend on the economy situation for the government to make the decision for the rate fluctuation. We, as consumer, can judge the situation by being more observant to the price and cost of living to your daily life.

IF you pay some attention on recent China petrol company move, you would notice that China is aggresively buying into petrol company or log in agreeement with most of the big players in petrol field.


It gives clear signal that CHINA is serious in pushing YUAN to be an international currency.


Buying into Petrol is a counter measure to prevent the side effect of weakening dollar which may cause price surge in crude oil. As a developing country, china consumption of fossil fuel is huge and the price rise in crude oil will definitely cause serious inflation to country and bring negative impact to its economy.

It is undeniable that YUAN is gradually moving up and jostle with dollar to be international currency.
